A pair of men attempted to pass counterfeit $100 bills to the Spirit Halloween store in the Main Street at Exton Shopping Center located at 270 Indian Run Street on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the West Whiteland Police Department said.
They also attempted to pass the fake bills at other stores in the shopping center, according to police.
However, the counterfeiters appear to be targeting Spirit Halloween because Downingtown police have a similar case with the same suspects at one of those stores in their jurisdiction, West Whiteland Police said.
